The Information Manager (IM) is a key BIM Role responsible for establishing/managing the processes of information exchange on projects. This role - either played independently or by the Design Lead - facilitates the delivery of Project Outputs according to Employer’s Information Requirements. According to the CIC BIM Protocol, the IM is separate from the BIM Coordinator and thus has no design or Model Management duties
